GUEST ROOM
A favorite room of the house!

Tear Sheets and Fabric Fabric Close-up

FOR THIS LAKE SHORE DRIVE PROJECT, the client came to Christine's with an empty guest bedroom, wide open with possibilities for room layout and color scheme.  The client loved Toile fabric and had already identified an impressive trundle daybed, but was unsure how to proceed.

Christine interviewed the client to understand her tastes and needs. She introduced a lime green tone to a black and white palette, to the client's surprise and delight.  She found a black and ivory floral fabric for use with the trundle bed, and had a custom mattress created.  The room was measured and all the key pieces laid out — an armoire, storage ottoman, and lime green chair.

Ivory roman shades for the windows, custom designed pillows, and a custom rug were brought in to complete the room. And the results?  From a favorite color and a favorite piece of furniture, Christine built a room for living. Although it started out as an empty spare bedroom, it's become the center of the house.  With a secretary desk, TV, and convenient storage ottoman used as a cocktail table, the client now calls it her "favorite room."
